WOMEN DEVELOPMENT CELL

The SKM’s J. M. Patel College Women Development Cell (CWDC) is a specially constituted body consisting of members from the teaching and non-teaching staff, representatives of students as well as a member from ‘SWADHAR’ a NGO with experience in women issues.

Its jurisdiction includes all students, staff (Teaching & Non-Teaching) and members of the Management.

Objectives of the Cell:

  • To create awareness among girl students and women staff regarding women rights.
  • To prevent and address any act of harassment, including sexual harassment.
  • To deal with problems related to studies.
  • To provide favourable environment for work/study.

Complaint Mechanism:

Complaints may be made in any of the following ways:

  • Orally to any of the member of the CWDC.
  • Register complaint on ROC – ‘REGISTRATION OF ONLINE COMPLAINT’ which is installed in the Girl’s Common room. (This has been designed by the BSc.IT Department of our college)

Internal Complaints Committee

In pursuance of UGC (Prevention, prohibition and redressal of sexual harassment of women employees and students in higher educational institutions) Regulations, 2015 read with Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 and in partial modification of Office Order No. 449 dated 05.08.2016, Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) is re-constituted as under to deal with the complaints relating to Sexual harassment at work place.

The Function of ICC are as follows:

  • Provide assistance to students and staff to file compliant(s)
  • To provide mechanism of redressal od disputes regarding sexual harassment at workplace.
  • Publicly commit itself to a zero-tolerance policy towards sexual harassment.
